What you get, in the numbers Wavytalk prints itself
Every number below is on the product page or the vendor's spec image, checkable against the box that arrives.
| Field | What Wavytalk publishes | Where |
|---|---|---|

| Heat | 3 levels | "3 Heat Levels (Low / Medium / High)" |
| Air speed | 2, Slow / Fast | Spec image |
| Cool shot | Yes | The COOL button on the handle |

| Weight | 1.5 lb | Spec image only |

Four honest gaps in the spec, and what Wavytalk claims in its own words
"Powered by an 1875-watt motor (aka supercharged), it dries hair 2X faster by boosting airflow and rapidly reducing moisture [...] less time, less heat, and less damage. Negative ions work to reduce frizz and increase shine, while our double-layer removable filter prevents hair from getting caught or tangled inside. Compact and featherlight, it's perfect for on-the-go styling. Lock in your look with a cool-shot for a long-lasting, super-smooth finish."wavytalk.com product page for the Blown Away, read September 17, 2026
The text says "2X faster by boosting airflow". It does not say faster than what, how many minutes, or how it was measured. We print it as Wavytalk's claim, not as a fact.
No ETL, UL or cETLus mark and no certificate number appears in the text or the images of the product page. The brand-protection page mentions "safety certifications" only to warn that counterfeits lack them.
The text says "featherlight" with no number. The spec image says 1.5 lb. The cord is "79-inch / 6ft / 2m" in the text and 6.6 ft in the image; 79 inches is 6.58 feet, so the image is the precise one.
"Negative ions work to reduce frizz and increase shine" is the vendor's wording. No ion count and no frizz test are published, so we repeat it as the vendor writes it and not as a measured result.
Compare on the printed numbers: watts, heats, speeds, weight, cord, box contents. The speed line is the vendor's claim.

The rest of the arithmetic: the two colors at $54.99, expedited shipping, and the stock re-read today
| Basket | Price | Shipping | Delivered |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 Blown Away, Rose Gold, standard shipping | $49.99 | $0.00 | $49.99 |
| 1 Blown Away, Blue or Pink, standard shipping | $54.99 | $0.00 | $54.99 |
| 1 Blown Away, Rose Gold, expedited shipping | $49.99 | $8.00 | $57.99 |
Shipping, quoted from wavytalk.com/policies/shipping-policy: "United States / Standard Shipping / 6–9 Business Days / Free for orders $49+ / $6 for orders $0–$48.99", "Expedited Shipping / 3–5 Business Days / $8 (any order value)", "We process orders within 1–3 business days", "We partner with Amazon Logistics and other reliable carriers". Read September 17, 2026.
Blue and Pink cost $54.99 on the same product page and ship free as well, because they clear the $49 line. Rose Gold, White, Black, Purple, Gray, Green and Deep Blue are $49.99.
The product page, the hair-dryer collection page and the page's own structured data all served $49.99 for the Rose Gold dryer on September 17, 2026, and the partner deeplink resolves to that same wavytalk.com page. The structured data marks the US plug as InStock and the EU, UK, AU and JP plugs as OutOfStock. We re-read the price and the US-plug stock on the day this page was built, September 17, 2026, and both held.
The two bundles that contain this dryer, Polished Precision Duo at $99.00 and Boosted Blowout Duo at $118.99, do not sell the dryer alone for less, so this page does not push either.
The dryer alone clears the $49 free-shipping line, so the $49.99 on the product page is the number you pay. Expedited delivery adds $8 at checkout.
Each button on this page opens the same Wavytalk product page, where color and plug are chosen before checkout.
What happens if you want to send it back, and what the warranty covers
Wavytalk's storefront promises more than its policy delivers, so here is the chain, read in full on September 17, 2026.
- The badge beside the rating, and the footer on every page "Fast Shipping | 30-Day Returns" on the product page. In the footer: "30-Day Return Guarantee / Hassle-free returns within 30 days" and "Up To 3-Year Warranty / Style with peace of mind".
-
The window, in the refund policy
"You may return or exchange undamaged products within 30 days of delivery for a full refund or replacement." "Returns must include all original accessories." "Items must be returned in their original packaging." No clause excludes sale items. Printed at
wavytalk.com/policies/refund-policy. - Who pays for the return "Customers are responsible for return shipping costs. Wavytalk does not provide prepaid return labels." "For returns not related to product quality, a $6 restocking and return shipping fee will apply."
- When the dryer is faulty "For returns related to product quality issues, Wavytalk will issue a full refund, including original shipping costs, typically within 5–10 business days after the returned item has been inspected." Returns are processed only for "purchases made directly through Wavytalk's own website".
-
The warranty, on the registration page
"All of our products come with a standard one-year warranty but by registering your product, you will receive an additional free 12-month extended warranty." That is two years, at
wavytalk.com/pages/register-for-a-warranty. No page we read on the domain offers three years. "Damage caused by improper use will not be covered", and a claim needs "the product and order number".
What we could not verify, and the one BBB complaint about a refund
Nothing was bought and no return form was submitted, so two things stay unverified: whether the returns form applies the $6 fee in practice, and whether the 30 days count from the carrier's "delivered" scan. The BBB file holds one complaint, filed June 18, 2026 and marked "Unanswered": a customer returned within the 30 days and the refund landed on TikTok Shop instead of the original payment method.
The Terms of Service on the same domain say the agreement is "governed by [...] the laws of the United Kingdom" in a store that sells in US dollars from a Plano, Texas address, which reads as unrevised template paperwork rather than a trap.
Keep the box and nozzles until you are sure. Register in week one for the second year. A return costs $6 plus postage.
Three ratings, read together: 4.78 on Wavytalk's own page, 4.0 on Trustpilot, C+ at the BBB
The on-site number and the independent numbers disagree, and the disagreement is the useful part. All three were read on September 17, 2026.
Trustpilot, independent
4.0 / 5
106 reviews. Profile claimed. No consumer alert. The company responds to 91% of negative reviews.
Platform notice on the profile: "No recent history of asking for reviews. This company hasn't invited customers recently, so reviews may not be representative".
Judge.me widget, on Wavytalk's own page
4.78 / 5
Labeled "Based on 2889 reviews" on the product page.
Zero one-star and zero two-star reviews out of 2,889, against 22% one-star on Trustpilot. No review-moderation policy is published on the domain, and part of the widget's reviews are in Spanish in a marketplace format.
What the one-star reviews say
"They don't respond to messages" (August 7, 2026). "Still waiting for my order from June" (August 27, 2026). "Never shipped order and no one answers…" (September 4, 2026). "Heated wavybrush broke within 3 months…" (March 8, 2026).Titles of one-star reviews on trustpilot.com/review/wavytalk.com, read September 17, 2026
The dominant theme is logistics and support: orders that do not ship, pre-orders that run months late, e-mails that go unanswered. A minority describe a tool that stopped working after two or three months. None of the one-star reviews we read is about the Blown Away dryer. The company's replies repeat the same script: check your spam folder, send us your order number.

Read on the BBB profile for Wavytalk and on Trustpilot, September 17, 2026. Wavytalk's contact page also lists an HQ address at 9 E 19th Street, 5th Floor, New York, NY 10003 and a Plano-area phone number.
The spec sheet is not the risk here; the parcel and the inbox are. Order the in-stock US-plug variant, keep the order number, track the shipment, and open the box in the first week while the 30-day window from delivery is wide open.
The five lines behind the 7.4: spec, delivered price, returns and warranty, independent reputation, and logistics risk
One line per thing a buyer wants settled before paying, each with what we read on Wavytalk's own pages and on the two independent profiles.
| Line | Verdict | What we read, September 17, 2026 |
|---|---|---|
| Published spec | Published | 1875 W, 125 V, 60 Hz, 3 heat levels, 2 speeds, cool shot, 6.6 ft cord, 1.5 lb, 7.3 x 3.3 x 10.6 in, three attachments, warranty in months. No electrical certification and no baseline for "2X faster". |
| Delivered price | Same on every route | $49.99 on the product page, the collection page and the structured data; free shipping at $49 and up, so $49.99 delivered. |
| Returns and warranty | 30 days, $6 fee | 30 days from delivery, undamaged, all accessories, original packaging, buyer pays return shipping plus $6. Warranty 1 year, 2 with registration. The footer's "3-Year" and "hassle-free" are not in the policy. |
| Independent reputation | C+ and 22% one-star | BBB C+, not accredited, 1 complaint unanswered, file 3 months old. Trustpilot 4.0 in 106 with 22% one-star, no consumer alert. On-site 4.78 in 2,889 with 0% one-star. |
| Logistics risk | Flagged | Standard delivery 6 to 9 business days after 1 to 3 days of processing. The one-star reviews are mostly orders that did not ship or arrive, and support that did not answer. |
Who this dryer is for, and what to know before you order
Worth it for you if
- You want an 1875 W dryer with a diffuser, a comb nozzle and a concentrator for under $50, and you are not shopping for a premium dryer.
- You compare tools on published numbers: wattage, weight, cord length, heat and speed settings.
- You are fine registering the product in the first week to get the second year of warranty.
- You will keep the box and the attachments until you are sure, so the 30-day window stays open to you.
Good to know before you order
- "Dries 2X faster" is Wavytalk's claim, with no baseline and no minutes published.
- No ETL or UL mark is published on the product page, in text or images.
- A change-of-mind return costs $6 plus your own postage, with no prepaid label.
- The independent record is short and polarized: 106 Trustpilot reviews with 22% one-star, and a C+ at the BBB, mostly about delivery and support.

How we reviewed it: the three reasons for the 7.4, and how we worked
Three things carry the score, and all three can be checked on pages anyone can open.
The three reasons for 7.4
- The spec is published on the storefront in numbers, not adjectives: "Power Rating: 1875W", "125V~, 60Hz", "3 Heat Levels (Low / Medium / High)", two air speeds, a cool shot, 1.5 lb, 6.6 ft cord, 7.3 x 3.3 x 10.6 in, three attachments, and a warranty stated in months, 12 plus 12.
- The price is the same on every public route we read: the product page, the hair-dryer collection page and the page's own structured data all served $49.99 for the Rose Gold dryer on September 17, 2026, and the partner deeplink resolves to the same wavytalk.com page without adding anything.
- The return policy is published in full and has no sale-item exclusion: 30 days from delivery, undamaged, all accessories, original packaging, buyer pays return shipping plus a $6 restocking fee, and a faulty unit is refunded in full including the original shipping.
What holds it under 8
The footer promises "Up To 3-Year Warranty" and "Hassle-free returns" while the policy delivers two years and a $6 fee plus postage. The BBB rates the company C+ with one complaint unanswered, and 22% of the 106 Trustpilot reviews are one-star, mostly about orders that did not arrive and support that did not answer, against 0% one-star in 2,889 on the vendor's own widget. No electrical certification is published, and "2X faster" has no baseline.
How we worked
Every page was read directly on wavytalk.com with a United States locale on September 17, 2026, and the price and the US-plug stock were re-read on the same day before this page was built. The BBB and Trustpilot profiles were read the same day. Nothing was bought and no link on this page was clicked.
Prices and policies change, so check the number on the vendor's screen before you pay.
Questions buyers ask before they order
How much is the Wavytalk hair dryer?
The Blown Away Ionic Hair Dryer is $49.99 in Rose Gold, White, Black, Purple, Gray, Green and Deep Blue, and $54.99 in Blue and Pink, read on wavytalk.com on September 17, 2026. Standard shipping in the United States is free for orders of $49 and up and $6 below that. So the Rose Gold dryer alone is $49.99 delivered, and the $54.99 colors are $54.99 delivered. Check the screen before you pay.
What does Wavytalk publish about the Blown Away?
The Specs section of the product page reads "US Version Voltage (125V~, 60Hz)", "Power Rating: 1875W", "3 Heat Levels (Low / Medium / High)" and "79-inch / 6ft / 2m Cord". The vendor's spec image adds "Size 7.3 x 3.3 x 10.6 in", "Weight 1.5 lb", "Air Speed Slow / Fast" and "Cord Length 6.6 ft", plus the measurements of the three attachments. "What's Included" lists the dryer, a concentrator, a comb nozzle and a diffuser. The description also names a cool shot and a "double-layer removable filter". The manual in the box is marked QL-5917BDC-I.
Does the Blown Away really dry hair 2X faster?
That is Wavytalk's claim, written on the product page as "it dries hair 2X faster by boosting airflow and rapidly reducing moisture". The page does not say faster than what, how many minutes, or how the figure was measured, so we print it as the vendor's claim and not as a fact. The same goes for "Negative ions work to reduce frizz and increase shine": the mechanism is the vendor's wording, and no ion count or frizz test is published. What is published and checkable is the 1875 W motor, the three heat levels, the two speeds and the cool shot.
How long is the Wavytalk warranty?
One year, and two if you register. The product page FAQ says "All Wavytalk products come with a standard one-year limited warranty. If you register your product, you can also receive an additional 12-month extended warranty", and the registration page at wavytalk.com/pages/register-for-a-warranty repeats it: "a standard one-year warranty but by registering your product, you will receive an additional free 12-month extended warranty". The footer on every page says "Up To 3-Year Warranty", and no page we read on the domain offers three years for any product. The warranty covers "defects caused by the materials or production process", excludes "Damage caused by improper use", and a claim needs "the product and order number". Register in the first week.
Can I return the Blown Away if I change my mind?
Yes, within 30 days of delivery, and it costs money. The refund policy at wavytalk.com/policies/refund-policy says "You may return or exchange undamaged products within 30 days of delivery for a full refund or replacement", "Returns must include all original accessories", "Items must be returned in their original packaging", "Customers are responsible for return shipping costs. Wavytalk does not provide prepaid return labels" and "For returns not related to product quality, a $6 restocking and return shipping fee will apply". A faulty unit gets "a full refund, including original shipping costs". Returns are processed only for "purchases made directly through Wavytalk's own website". No clause excludes sale items. Keep the lilac box and the three attachments.
Is Wavytalk a legitimate company?
It is a real company with a checkable record, and the record is mixed. The Better Business Bureau lists Wavytalk at 5960 W Parker Rd Ste 232, Plano, TX 75093-7787, the same "Branch Office" printed on Wavytalk's contact page, under the alternate name Freshine Products Inc, with the business opened March 8, 2022. The BBB rating is C+, not accredited, with the file opened June 22, 2026, zero customer reviews and one complaint in three years marked "Unanswered"; the stated reason for the rating is "Failure to respond to 1 complaint(s) filed against business". Trustpilot shows 4.0 out of 5 across 106 reviews on a claimed profile with no consumer alert, 22% of them one-star, mostly about orders that did not ship or arrive and e-mails that went unanswered. The company responds to 91% of negative reviews. None of the one-star reviews we read is about the Blown Away dryer.
Why does the product page show 4.78 stars when Trustpilot shows 4.0?
They count different things and are moderated differently. The 4.78 comes from the Judge.me widget on Wavytalk's own product page, labeled "Based on 2889 reviews", with 82% five-star, 15% four-star, 3% three-star and 0% one-star and two-star. The 4.0 is Trustpilot's company score across 106 reviews of everything Wavytalk sells, with 22% one-star. A distribution with zero one-star reviews out of 2,889 does not occur on its own, and no review-moderation policy is published on the domain, so the on-site number should be read as the vendor's curated figure and the Trustpilot and BBB records as the independent ones. Both are printed here so you can weigh them yourself.
